Weston Hospice Moonlight Beach Walk

We’re delighted to share our recent involvement in the Weston Hospice Moonlight Beach Walk. Six of our Responders convened at the pier for an initial briefing at 18:00, before driving along the 5km and 10km walking routes. Our team was hands-on, removing debris like driftwood and filling holes to ensure the path was safe for all participants.

Due to an exceptionally high tide, a slight amendment was made to the route following a final briefing with the event organiser. Our team was positioned at various checkpoints along the way, some at sparkler points, others offering refreshments, and a few more at the turning points for each distance. A safety vehicle was also on hand to follow the last group of walkers.

Registration kicked off at 21:00, and the first wave of intrepid participants took to the cold, windy beach at 22:00 for their 10km walk. By the time the last walker had crossed the finish line, it was around 01:00, and our dedicated team headed home.

A massive thank you to everyone who participated in this annual charity event. We look forward to being a part of it again next year!
