We are delighted to announce that Wessex 4×4 Response had the honour of supporting the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Bristol SHINE event on Friday, 15th September. This night walk around the city of Bristol covered a distance of 10km and was organised to raise funds for invaluable cancer research.
It was our first involvement in this event, and we were represented by a team of three committed volunteers along with their 4×4 vehicles. Our primary responsibilities for the evening included assisting the CRUK crew with marshalling duties, as well as transporting marshalls to various locations around the city to ensure the event ran smoothly and safely.
We are pleased to report that the event was a resounding success. With over 800 participants, the Bristol SHINE event managed to raise an extraordinary sum of £126,000 for cancer research. These numbers speak not only to the immense commitment of the participants but also to the invaluable work carried out by the CRUK team, which we were thrilled to support.
We look forward to contributing to such meaningful events in the future.
