Russ Laye of the Customer Services dept. is the latest of our "Local Heroes".
Russ has worked hard for his chosen charity, Wessex 4x4 Response.
Based around the Wessex area, this charity works to provide assistance, to support the emergency services, for example helping to transport doctors or nurses during the recent snow.

Russ sold raffle and tombola tickets at 4x4 shows in the area raising £500.00.
Thanks to Sainsbury`s matched funding, the initial £500.00 was increased to a very creditable £700.00.
"Well done Russ" said store manager Steve Packman, "This scheme is open to all colleagues that fund raise in their own time, underlining Sainsbury`s commitment to our community".
The "Local Heroes" scheme is in it`s 8th year, enabling colleagues to donate an extra £1 million to their chosen causes.
