What started with a simple phone call from Dorset Police on the evening of 2nd February 2009 can only be described as snowballing into something much bigger.
The story will be written, but as much as anything the photos tell the story.

During operations in support of Avon & Somerset, Devon & Cornwall, and Dorset Police services, Great Western Ambulance Service Trust, Somerset CCU and various Primary Care Trusts our members clocked up over 6000 miles and completed well over 100 separate taskings. These were by no means the final figures, the actual totals may never be known.
A few examples of the tasks that we completed include;
  • transport of carers to severly disabled and vulnerable persons
  • transport of Prison Officers across Dartmoor
  • transporting of staff for the Ambulance service,
  • acting as a support vehicle to other vehicles attending incidents
  • transport of district nurses
  • transport of doctors
  • and many other tasks too numerous to mention
